Didn't think there were any outfitters like this left. Have read all the comments written by hunters in the past. Didn't find one hunter who was not satisified with your service;whether they killed or not.

I killed my bear the first hour of the first day , even if I shot the smallest bear of the several bears comming to the bait.

2006

Once again, thanks to all our clients, we had a Great year. We are very happy to say that we took some bigger deer than we have for a few years, and sent home some very happy hunters. Our spring bear, and moose season were also very successful. We appreciated each and everyone of our hunters, they all contributed to our success. We are very happy we will see many of you again in 2007. We wish everyone reading this a Wonderful 2007, and Happy Hunting.

The first week of the 2005 deer hunt has come to an end. It's hard to believe the week went so fast/ Larry sr. James Bob and I all tagged out on thursday. We spent two days enjoying Saskatchewan.. Well here as 2004 drew to a close we are enthused that all but one of our hunters shot a buck, and some pretty nice ones came in. Thank you to all the hunters, it was great to have you, each one of you brought us pleasure. We hope to see you all again soon. Our bear and moose hunts went great as well.

2003

Once again we want to thank all of our 2003 guests. We are very proud of the fact that we took two Pope and Young bear and one Boone and Crocket, as well as many other bear. The most important thing is that all of our customers left happy.

We would like to thank all our deer hunters for an excellent year. It is great to see the anticipation and excitement of the arriving hunters, but even greater to see them leaving so happy. It is indeed a privilege to have such a rewarding business.

It was my first hunt for bear and you made it a great one. Your guides did a great job. They are very knowledgeable, helpful and encouraging. The cooking and hospitality was also TOP notch. It couldn't have been any more enjoyable, especially by ending it with a great bear.

My hunt was short; I arrowed a Pope and Young the first day. It was my largest bear and I will never forget it. Guides were Great, food was great, and everybody went the extra mile. Horn hunting was legendary. Ninety five deer plus two moose paddles. That must be a record.

This is a letter from one of our hunters -

I arrived in beautiful Pierceland, Saskatchewan with the hopes of enjoying the majestic woods that are an integral part of Canada. My hopes were of arrowing a pope and young class bear.

On my first day of the much anticipated hunt my guide, Gordy, put me in a ladder stand that was near a fur trappers cabin on a pristine lake. He told me that a Boone and Crockett blonde color phase bear had been taken from the same stand a couple of years ago.

After Gordy left me behind to begin my hunt I gave thanks to the almighty creator for allowing me to be with nature and all the critters that inhabit the bush country in Northwestern Saskatchewan.

Just suddenly, a squirrel began chirping and barking, I heard a distinctive crunch approaching me from the spruce. Within 10 minutes, a young adolescent bear moved in cautiously to check the bait and the curious smell of the man that was 15 yards from his dinner.

I remained perfectly still while the bear scoped out his surroundings. The bear looked up at my perch and wondered if he should approach his meal or circle around me. After 5 minutes of analyzation he approached his destination and began smelling for beaver. Yes beaver, a bears favorite entree. He worked meticulously for 10 minutes trying to unlodge his prize from a 30 gallon drum chained to a tree. Upon getting his reward, the beaver carcass, he took off like a bat out of heck!

It was 4 hours, about 6:30pm before the same scenario played itself out again. This time it was another bear with a more cautious approach. He circled me for 30 minutes before deciding to throw caution to the wind for supper.

Since I had never been on a bear hunt in Canada and never had harvested one I immediately decided if this bear presented a good shot I would launch an arrow.

When the bear settled down and presented me a 15 yard broadside shot, the pin was already behind his shoulder and I released the arrow.

It was all so quick and yet time moved slow as the shot passed through him and my fletching disappeared. The bear whirled around and trotted for 15 yards and then walked out of sight into the thick bush. I heard a loud and eerie bellow in the woods and I knew it was over.

I waited for an hour before I climbed down to look for my beamon carbon arrow with its triblade razor honed muzzy 100 grain broad head. When Gordy arrived back at the stand to check on me, I told him we had work to do. He unloaded his faithful assistant dog, Whisky, and the search began. It only lasted 40 yards and my beautiful black bear was mine!

It was a kodak moment for sure. I sat with Gordy and admired the thick and shiny fur that this creature had wore proudly and practically. We had 5 bowhunters and 2 gun hunters with us in camp that week. The kudos for this outfit were unanimous amongst our group. Everyone was a happy camper. The success rate overall was 86% and several color phase bears were taken including two by bows!
